Juanita Baker, age 89, of Medina, died
Tuesday April 25, 2006 in a local care center. She was born
September 28, 1916 in Ingram to Cary and Dollie Lamb Childs.
Juanita was a graduate from Medina
High school, and married Royce Ward Baker on April 2, 1941 in Medina.
She was a member of Medina First Baptist Church where she was the
organist and pianist, and she was a member of the Medina Chapter Order
of Eastern Star.
Juanita will be missed by all who
knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary
Nell Mathis of Crowell, Texas, brother, Cary Childs of Paducah,
Kentucky, grandchildren, Jason & Jonathan Mathis of Crowell, and John
Baker of Bandera, and great grandson, John Royce Baker, Jr. Of
Bandera.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband Royce in 1985 and son Royce Edwin Baker.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 29 at Medina First
Baptist Church with Dr. Allie Balko and Dr. Louis Vannatter
officiating.
