Soila Baldwin, age 93, of San Antonio,
died Monday, April 24 in a local nursing facility. She was born on
July 11, 1912 in Bandera to Florencio and Antonia Huerta Herrera.
She worked for the State Hospital
system for over 15 years and was a member of the Order of Eastern
Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Flo
Hopkins of San Antonio, step-son Leo Ybarra, 2 sisters, Corina Herrera
Fogle and Stella Herrera Ramos, 9 grandchildren and numerous
great grand- children and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, John Baldwin on July 2, 1964, 2 sons Daniel and Henry Ybarra,
2 sisters, 5 brothers, and 3 grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday, April
27, at Grimes Funeral Chapel with Rev. Matias Rodriguez officiating.
Interment followed in Polly Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Hopkins, Danny
Virgen, Daniel Bradley, James Herrera, David Herrera and Henry Lee
Ybarra. |
