Joyce P. Bullard, age 76, a resident of
Kerrville since 1971, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in a local
care center. She was born December 22, 1929 in Lubbock to Pete and
Zella (Tanner) Pressley. On September 23, 1967, she married Thomas
Henry Bullard in Houston. Joyce
was a homemaker and member of Turtle Creek Community Church where she
was the floral designer for the church for 20 years and taught Sunday
School. She was a former member of Bluebonnet Lions Club of Kerrville.
Joyce was the former operator of Bullard’s Custom Picture Framing in
Houston.
Survivors include husband, Tom H.
Bullard of Kerrville; granddaughter, Angela Gail Ellis Middleton and
husband, Michael of Magnolia; great grandchildren, Steven Middleton,
Stephine Middleton and Sean Michael Middleton, all of Magnolia; first
cousins, Norma Lee Minter and husband, Ken of Houston, Mary Ann
Charles and husband, Robert of Tulsa, OK and Tom Dunnam and wife,
Margaret of Houston and lots of second and third cousins that she
loved very much. She is also survived by special friends, Jim and
Beckie Crider of Kerrville.
She was preceded in death by her
daughter, Georgianna Bullard who passed away in 1977 and her son,
Rowland Lynn Ellis who passed away in 1988.
Visitation will be held Friday, April
7, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Services will be held Saturday, April
8, 2006, 2 p.m. at Turtle Creek Community Church officiated by Rev.
Frankie Enloe. Interment will follow at Turtle Creek Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim
Morris, James A. Young, MD, William M. Allen, Jr., M.D.P.A., Craig L.
Leslie and Lloyd Leifeste, D.V.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to Turtle Creek Community Church. |
