Armando Zamora Juarez, Sr., age 73, a
lifetime resident of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in
a local hospital. He was born May 30, 1932 in Kerrville to Manuel and
Guadalupe Zamora Juarez. On April 7, 1956, he married Estella Espinoza
in Kerrville. She preceded his death in 1992.
Mr. Juarez served in the US Army during
the Korean War as a Sergeant and retired from the US Air Force as
Master Sergeant after serving for 25+ years. He was a retired Lab
Technician at the VA Hospital in Kerrville. He was a member of
American Legion Post 182 and the Color Guard. He was also a member of
Notre Dame Catholic Church.
Survivors include daughters, Joann
Alcorta and husband, Daniel of Kerrville and Janet Ontiveros and
husband, Jimmy of Kerrville; sons, Armando Juarez, Jr and wife, Rosie,
Arthur Ray Juarez and wife, Viola, Andrew Juarez and wife, Crystal and
Tony Juarez and wife, Rosie M., all of Kerrville; sister, Connie
Coronado of San Antonio; brother, Raymond Juarez of Kerrville;
grandchildren, Chris Garza, Patrisha Rodriguez, Priscilla Juarez,
Regina Uribe, Armando Eleas Juarez, Jessica Juarez, Samantha Jo Pina,
Veronica Juarez, Adriana Juarez, Vicky Juarez, Joshua Ontiveros and
Adrian Juarez; great grandchildren, Faith Rodriguez, Layla Castro,
Ethan Juarez, Adriel Juarez, Jacob Gonzales, Jr., and Jeremy Gonzales.
The Holy Rosary will be recited
Thursday, April 6, 2006, 7 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated
by Deacon Charles Domingues..
Mass of Christian Burial will be
Friday, April 7, 2006, 2 p.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church with
Father Mike Peinemann as celebrant. Interment will follow at Garden of
Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Armando Juarez,
Jr., Arthur Ray Juarez, Andrew Juarez, Tony Juarez, Jimmy Ontiveros
and Danny Alcorta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Drive, San
