Dorothy Cooper Keene, age 76, passed
away Thursday, April 27, 2006 at her residence in Hunt. She was a
resident of Hunt since August 1972. She formerly resided in San Angelo
and Lubbock. Dorothy was born
July 7, 1929 in Big Lake, TX to Thomas E. and Lula B. (Watson) Cooper.
She married Howard J. Keene in San Angelo on April 29, 1955.
Dorothy was a teacher for 30 years.
She taught at Grace Bible Church and the Little House Montessori
School in Hunt. She was a member of the Hunt Baptist Church and
volunteered at Kerrville State Hospital for many years.
Survivors include husband, Howard J.
Keene of Hunt; daughters, Montye
C. Reed and husband, Patrick of Hunt and Marcy K. Vehon of Dallas;
son, Jaggers C. Keene, M.D. and wife, Nicole of Tampa, FL;
grandchildren, Ashleigh Reed, Desmond Vehon, Jacob Reed, Elijah Vehon,
and Selleck Keene and a foster grandson, Tava Hamilton; great
grandchildren, Olivia and Addison.
Graveside services will be held
