Ernest Gutierrez Lara was born July 18,
1947 to Concha Gutierrez and Jack Lara. Ernest passed away on Tuesday,
April 18, 2006 at his home in Kerrville where he was a lifelong
resident. Ernest was 58 years of age.
He was a generous person, carefree
spirit and would always help people. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War.
He was preceded in death by his
father, Jack Lara and brother, Robert O. Schmerber, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Concha
Gutierrez; four brothers, Gilbert and spouse, Lynn Schmerber of
Jonesboro, IN, Steve Schmerber of Kerrville, Tom Schmerber of Dallas,
Tony and spouse, Joanie Schmerber of Marion, IN; two sisters, Linda
and spouse, Joe Arredondo and Pat Schmerber of Kerrville; and numerous
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Prayer Services will be at 6 p.m.,
Friday, April 21, 2006 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Graveside services will be held
Monday, April 24, 2006, 10 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery
in San Antonio officiated by Deacon Charles Domingues. |
