Allan C. Skinner, age 99, died April 19
at his home in Kerrville. He was born in Vinita, Oklahoma October 13,
1906. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Hazel Skinner. The Skinners
moved to Kerrville from Laredo in 1987. He was an active member of St.
Paul’s United Methodist Church.
In 1954 Skinner moved to Laredo from
McAllen to become Officer in Charge U.S. Immigration and
Naturalization Service, a post which he held for many years. In Laredo
Skinner served as City Councilman, Boys and Girls Club Board Chairman,
was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Noon Lions Club, and the First
United Methodist Church.
Always concerned and involved in
children’s welfare, Allan and Hazel have been generous supporters of
Star Ranch, Laredo Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts and numerous other
organizations.
A graveside service will be held
Friday, April 21 at 1 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.
