Patricia Ann Martinez, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by love after courageously battling cancer. Patricia lived her life with a beautiful spirit, a strong faith, and a heart full of love for those around her.
Patricia was truly full of life and love. She had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room and a way of making the people around her feel special. She loved live music, spending time by the river, shopping, and, most of all, making memories with her friends and family. Her laughter, her strength, and her loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Patricia demonstrated incredible strength and courage. Her faith remained a guiding light, carrying her through the difficult days and reminding everyone around her of the strength within her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ernestina Martinez; her father, Joe Martinez; and her brothers, Jose Martinez and Jesus “Choo” Martinez.
Patricia leaves behind her beloved “Tank”, who held a very special place in her heart; her sisters, Vivian Martinez and Helen Martinez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and the best of friends, who were like family to her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Julie and Dolores of Embrace Hospice for the warmth, compassion, and loving care they provided to Patricia. Special thanks are also extended to the staff at Avir of Kerrville for their kindness and care during Patricia’s journey.
Patricia’s life was a gift, her laughter was contagious, and her love touched so many hearts. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created, the love she shared, and the joy she brought into the lives of others will live on forever.
Patricia’s family will greet friends on Friday, August 28th, at Grimes Funeral Chapels from 5:00PM until 6:00PM. A Memorial Service honoring her life will follow at 6:00PM. A private family inurnment at Mountain View Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Rest peacefully, Patricia. Your fight is over, your faith has carried you home, and you will be loved and missed forever.
