Barbara Edith Bogert Bruno, 95, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at 1:50 p.m. Born on July 25, 1929 in Irvington, New Jersey, she was the daughter of E.A. Bogert and Florence Isabelle Kingsland Bogert. Barbara moved to Midland, Texas, after marrying her beloved husband, Earl Randolph Bruno Sr. in Corpus Christi, TX, on January 22, 1949.

Barbara and Earl shared an interesting life in the oil business and traveled extensively during their fifty-three years together. A dedicated volunteer at several organizations in both Midland and Kerrville, where the two retired, she was known for her love of beauty, history, literature, and art. Her regal poise and beauty both inside and out was admired by all who knew her.

Barbara was a devoted mother to her three children and instilled in them the importance of respect and manners, shaping them into individuals of strong character. She also shared a deep bond with her beloved late sister, Dorothy Louise Bogert Conklin. Barbara's love for family was evident through her steadfast presence and unwavering dedication to their well-being.

Barbara is survived by her eldest son, Randy (Debbie); daughter, Penny; daughter-in-law, Darlene; and three grandchildren, Evan, Weston, and Brittany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her youngest son, Frank Lee; and her sister, Dorothy.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Alamo Hospice in Kerrville, Texas, for their dedicated care and compassion during Barbara's final days.

A private service was held in Barbara's remembrance.

Wishing you all sincere condolences from your friends at Schreiner University. I think of Barbara and your father every day when we meet in the Bruno Conference Room next to my office. When I arrived in Kerrville 23 years ago, Barbara and Earl welcomed me to the Schreiner family. Wishing you peace during this difficult time.
