Rita Mae Arcement Fisher, 76, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2025. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on May 14, 1948, to Alvin and Margarete Arcement. She married Johnny Fisher on August 6, 1989, at the Fisher Ranch in Hunt, Texas and remained happily married to him until his death.

Rita graduated from Nurnberg American High School in Germany in 1966. She attended San Antonio College and graduated with an AAS Management and AAS Financial Management degrees in 1989 and 1991. Rita went on to pursue a career as a Tax Practitioner beginning in 1992 and was still preparing taxes this current tax season. Rita had many friends and was involved in groups such as the Ladies of Texas Tradition, Quilting groups, and McQueeney Lions Club Bingo. She loved creating quilt masterpieces, having fun with her friends and family and was the life of the party wherever she went.

Rita was preceded in death by both parents, Alvin and Margarete Arcement; sister, Carla Faifer; brother, David Arcement; stepson, Felix Fisher and by her loving husband, Johnny Fisher.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Andrea Lisa Kelly and son-in-law, Kirk Daniel Kelly; sister, Ramona Dosser and husband Keith; brother, Alvin Arcement Jr.; sister, Lorraine Pogue; brother-in-law, Arlin Faifer; stepson, Trey Fisher and wife Michele; stepson, Shawn Fisher; stepson, Pat Wood and wife Wendy; granddaughter, Madeleine Elle Kelly; grandson, Gavin William Kelly; granddaughter, Brianna Mocio and husband Nick; grandson, Baylan Fisher; granddaughter, Brooke Fisher; granddaughter, Renee Fisher; grandson, Weston Fisher; granddaughter, Kila Fisher; grandson, Will Fisher; grandson, Cade Fisher; grandson, Clifford Wood and wife Brittany; granddaughter, Savannah Wood; great grandson, Maddox; great granddaughter, Adalynn Wood and numerous extended family, friends, neighbors and her little dog Lulu.

Grave site services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2pm at The Fisher Ranch in Hunt, Texas with Jason Kelly officiating.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice in her name.

The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Brannon Hyde, Nurses Denise and Matthew at Christus Santa Rosa in New Braunfels for their courageous care and attention.

I met Rita at Hollydee’s quilt shop in Luling. What an incredible human! She was always happy. She was generous with her talent. I absolutely looked forward to Rita’s show and tell. Wow! What talent. She will truly be missed!

Rita was such a wonderful person. Not enough room to say everything about her. She will surely be missed. Rita was always smiling laughing and making us laugh and smile also even on our darkest Days wine in hand smile on the face great big huge heart Rita we're going to miss you.
