It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved, Adam Jay Gonzales Sr., on April 6, 2025, at the age of 46.
Adam was born on September 20, 1978 in Holland, MI, and raised in Texas, where he developed a love for the outdoors and the art of landscaping - skills he lovingly learned from his late grandfather, Guadalupe Gonzales.
He found joy in the simple things - drawing, flipping through car magazines, and talking about his favorite rides. His creative spirit was as vivid as his personality, and he had a deep desire to help others whenever he could.
Adam will be remembered for his kind heart, his warm affection, and his childlike sense of humor that could light up any room. He loved to laugh and cherished every moment spent with family.
He was also a man of faith, he enjoyed taking part in spiritual groups that helped him grow closer to God. It meant so much to him to be surrounded by love, encouragement, and people who lifted him up.
He was especially proud of his daughter Jade Gonzales, son Adam Gonzales, Jr., and his beloved granddaughter Isabella. Family was the center of his world.
Adam is survived by his son, Kevin White; daughter Jade Gonzales and partner Martin; son, Adam J Gonzales Jr.; granddaughter, Isabela Talavera, parents Rudy and Gloria Wheatfall, Jr., siblings Samantha Wheatfall, Trey Wheatfall, and Joshua Wheatfall; his sister Sophia Cabrera Maes (of father Junior Cabrera), and over 15 loving nieces and nephews.
Adam's life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience. As we remember him, we hold onto the promise he treasured so dearly. He is now at peace, joining beloved grandparents, Guadalupe and Sara Gonzales, and his father Mariano ''Junior'' Cabrera in heaven - embraced by love, surrounded by light, and finally home.
His mother, Gloria, wants him to know how proud she is of his growth, his gentle heart, and his desire to walk with God. She will deeply miss their visits and the bond they shared.
Memorial services will be held at Calvary Temple Church, located at 300 Texas 534 Loop, Kerrville, TX 78028 on Monday, April 28, 2025 @11a.m.
