Abel Garcia, 76, of Kerrville, passed away on June 4, 2025, in Kerrville. He was born in San Antonio to Maximino Garcia and Antonia Hernandez Garcia on April 28, 1949. He married Mary Bennett on September 9, 1972, in San Antonio.
He went to school at St. Mary's University and the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He worked as a portfolio manager for Waddell and Reed and Invesco. He was a veteran and served in the Army. He was a Captain. He was involved in St. Vincent de Paul Society and Habitat for Humanity.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max; and sister, Rose Elda Prochazka.
Survivors include his spouse; Aaron and Susan Garcia and Jordan Garcia, Ann Marie Goehringer and Gabriel Garcia, Antonia Garcia (106), Benicio and Olivia Garcia, and Amy Miller and Bobby Mander.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025, at Lumen Christi Chapel, Pipe Creek, with Father David Wagner officiating.
Memorials may be given to St. Vincent de Paul, Kerrville and Habitat for Humanity.
