It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Brian Carpenter and family due to the recent, unprecedented Hill Country floods.
Brian Allen Carpenter, 36, of Dripping Springs, Texas, met his Lord and Savior in the early hours of July 4th, 2025 in Hunt, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 28th, 1988.
Brian grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and graduated from Clements High School in 2007, where he would go on to attend Texas A&M University that fall. He studied and exceeded as a Biomedical Engineering major, graduating with honors in 2011. Brian would soon be accepted into a prestigious dual Master's program where he would obtain his Master's of Business Administration and Master's of Biomedical Engineering simultaneously. During his time in College Station, Brian married his high school sweetheart, Mallory Carpenter, on May 26th, 2012.
Brian and Mallory moved to Austin where they would eventually start a family. Brian and Mallory welcomed their first child, Dalton in 2019 and their second child, Blake, in 2021. Brian loved being a father. He was just the right balance of silly, smiley, strong, and serious. Brian was also a devoted husband, who always found time to put his family first, despite his frequent business trips that often had him out of state. Brian worked as a principal in the life sciences practice at Charles River Associates consulting firm. Brian was very disciplined and determined to deliver the highest quality work. Colleagues and clients enjoyed working with Brian due to his jovial personality and unparalleled dedication to his job.
Brian enjoyed staying active and riding his bike, often over 20 miles daily, which gave him the best farmers tans. He also loved sitting around the table with friends enjoying whiskey or other house-made conjunctions. He always made sure everyone was happy with their beverage-he made the best lemon drop martini you could ever have!
Brian was a Jack of all trades, and he was truly a father, husband, brother, son, and friend who did it ALL.
Brian was husband to Mallory Carpenter; father to Dalton and Blake Carpenter; brother-in-law to Madeline Smith and Kathleen Cunnane; dog uncle to Woody and Enrique and a cherished colleague and friend to so many.
Celebration of Life to be held in the coming weeks in Dripping Springs, TX.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Ranger Derek who has graciously been with us throughout this experience and the numerous medical doctors and staff for saving our lives. Special thanks to all the first responders and the citizens of Hunt, Ingram, and Kerrville who have reached out, donated, volunteered, and prayed for our family. Words cannot express how much gratitude we have toward people across the Hill Country and our great state of Texas and beyond. We also would not be able to do any of this without our beautiful family and friends- thank you all.
