Ernie was well known in the Rockport Community since he had lived there for over 60 years. With his job from Southwestern Bell, he was able to meet and make friends with many people. He loved talking to people. He never knew a stranger. He was known for helping anyone in need. He had a big soft spot for all animals. He went all over town making sure all of the homeless animals were fed and cared for. He loved to read historical books and spent most days at the library.
