Laura Jane Stanton, a long time resident of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015.\r\n \r\nJane was born in Ferris, TX to William Edward Tidwell and Katie Ruth (McKay) Tidwell on March 4, 1922.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Hank Stanton and a daughter, Kathryn A. Graham.\r\n \r\nJane attended Abilene Christian College before moving to New York to follow her dream of being a singer. Several years later she moved to Dallas and worked as a writer for several fashion publications.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by two stepsons, Steve and Stacy Stanton; and her longtime friend and adopted daughter, Dolly Best.\r\n \r\nA special thanks to Alamo Hospice, and to Brenda Whitaker and her staff at 220 Harper Road.\r\n \r\nHer request to be cremated has been honored.\r\n \r\nDonations can be made to the Salvation Army.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
