Leila M. Reid entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2016, in Lakehills, Texas. She was born to Hannibal and Harriet Cook on November 9, 1920, in Albany, Georgia. She married James E. Reid, the love of her life, on February 1, 1941, in Heflin, Alabama.\r\n\r\nHer greatest joy was working in her garden and sitting on the front porch watching the deer play. She will be missed by those who knew her welcoming smile and sense of humor. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Reid, and her son, James E. Reid, Jr.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughters, Dolores Adams and Donna Bullard, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n
