Cathy Herchberger, 61, of Camp Verde, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, in a Kerrville hospital. \r\n\r\nShe was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and left soon after. She worked with Mo-Ranch and then worked in the Camp Verde store. She worked with the federal Head Start program for eight years. She helped run Spring Canyon Ranch at Camp Verde for 26 years.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her mother, Ella Lucas; husband, David Herchberger; two brothers, Gary Adkins and Lonnie Lucas; daughter, Heather Jimerson and husband, Craig; sons, Maclyn Thompson and Matthew Thompson and wife, Nadia; one grandson, Maclyn Paul Thompson; and two granddaughters, Desaree Bowie and Deonna Bowie.\r\n\r\nShe will be greatly missed, but they know shes dancing for joy in heaven. She was married for 16 years.\r\n\r\nShe leaves behind many wonderful friends. \r\n\r\nService will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Ridin the River Cowboy Fellowship.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ridin the River Cowboy Fellowship, PO Box 2711, Bandera, TX 78003.
