\r\n \r\nDonald MacMurray Don Anderson, 74, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at his home. He was born January 19, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\nDon grew up on A-Bar-A Ranch in Medina, Texas and attended high school there, where he excelled in football and basketball and was elected class president his senior year. After graduation he attended San Angelo State University before joining the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in England, he met and married his wife, Cynthia. Following his time in the service, Don earned a degree in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University. He and Cynthia then returned to A-Bar-A Ranch to raise their family. While in Medina, Don served on the local school board for eight years and was a member of the Rotary Club. He later relocated his family to Kerrville.\r\n\r\nDuring his 40-year career as a realtor, Don specialized in ranch land and commercial property. He subsequently worked in Pennsylvania as a land man for Chesapeake Energy.\r\n\r\nDon earned his pilots license in 1973 and enjoyed flying for many years. Throughout his life Don was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing, and annual family ski trips to Colorado. He also cherished decades of summers with his family on Lake LBJ, where they enjoyed boating, water skiing, and many hours of animated conversation and laughter. \r\n\r\nHe is predeceased by his parents, E.M. Tex Anderson and Elizabeth Clarke Betty Anderson and his brother, Peter M. Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia W. Anderson; son, Donald M. Anderson; daughter, Holly A. Milner (Trenton); granddaughter, Markie Blue Cascaden; siblings, R.M. Mac Anderson (Jan), Jeffrey C. Anderson (Sherri), Andrew E. Anderson (Mario) Gail A. Cowper (Ottis), Debbie Huddleston, Cathy Toman (Ross) and Lynda Buckheis (Buck) together with his ten nephews and nieces. \r\n\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 AM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 320 St. Peters Street, Kerrville, Texas 78028.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors, Paralyzed Veterans of America or a Veterans organization of your choice.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n
