William Robert Rountree (Bill), 82, of Kerrville, fell asleep in death Monday, July 3, 2017.\r\n \r\nHe was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Cameron, Texas, to John McKinley Rountree and Ivy-Jewel Bryan Rountree.\r\n \r\nOn Jan. 29, 1966, he married Ann Barrett in New Braunfels.\r\n \r\nBill was a retired contractor and also had been a teacher/coach for several years.\r\n \r\nBill was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Jewel Rountree Brazell. Survivors include his wife, Ann Barrett Rountree of Kerrville, son Rodney Lee Rountree and wife Karen of San Antonio, daughter Elizabeth Ann Rountree of Kerrville, son John Gordon Rountree and wife Julie Gore Rountree of Kerrville, grandsons Sam Rountree and Nicholas Rountree, granddaughters Kelly Scott, Kendra Rountree, Dylan Brazell, Natalie Rountree and Grayson Brazell, and great-grandson Jolan Stevens.\r\n \r\nA memorial will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2160 Goat Creek Road in Kerrville.\r\n
