Scarlet Lenore Matter, 64, of Kerrville, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born in San Bernardino, California to Michael J. Childers and Marilyn Wilson. She was married to Jesse Jordan Matter of Comfort, Texas for 20 Years.\r\n\r\nScarlet worked as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse for 25 years all around the Texas Hill Country. She had a vibrant sense of humor and a quirky, creative spirit. She also had a remarkable ability to connect with and reach with people of any age, creed, or circumstance. Scarlet was known for her rare, unapologetic honesty and contagious laugh. The world is surely a little darker without her.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her significant other, Lee Beckendorff; her daughter: Jessica Matter; her son, Jeremy Matter and his wife Melissa; and two grandchildren, Asher Jordan and Jesse Wayne. \r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville. \r\n
