Clifford William Herbst of Bandera, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 21, 2018 after a brief illness. Clifford was born on his parents ranch outside of Junction, Texas, on June 20, 1928. He married the love of his life, Adeline Kluth, on March 31,1950. \r\n\r\nClifford worked for Friedrich Refrigeration Company for 46 years where he was over worldwide operations for transportation and warehousing. He served as president of the San Antonio Transportation Association and also as president of the Logistics & Transportation Association of North America. He received numerous accolades and awards during his long career.\r\nCliffords real love was his ranching, and he loved his ranch in Bandera. He was happiest out on the ranch pulling weeds, plowing the field, planting the garden, tending cows, feeding his pet deer, and just being with nature. He loved entertaining at the ranch with his famous b-b-q chicken.\r\n\r\nClifford is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Victor Herbst, and his grandson Karl Herbst.\r\n\r\nClifford is survived by his wife of 68 years Adeline Herbst; sisters Louise Curington and Myra Ward; sister-in-law Norene Herbst; son Clifford Herbst Jr. and wife Karron; daughter Rhonda Hrna and husband Edward; grandchildren Tiffany Wehe and husband Chad; Kristen Hastings and husband Rory; John Herbst and wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Meryck and Major Wehe; Zeth, Addysen, Aubree Hastings; Taylor and Chase Alberes, Amillie and Riley Herbst.\r\n\r\nA celebration of life will be held Monday, November 26 at Western Heritage Cowboy Church, Pipe Creek, Texas. Visitation at 10:00 with service to follow at 11:00.
