Maria Jaimes Calderon, age 89 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in a local nursing home. \r\n\r\nShe was born January 28, 1929 to Felix Jaimes and Angelina Jiminez in Waring, Texas.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Aladino Calderon; her sisters Francis Rocha, Dolores Vargas, Olivia Villareal; and her brother Willie Jaimes.\r\n\r\nMaria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Henry Ayala; her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Yome Calderon; her son Alex Calderon; her seven grandchildren Roy Ayala, Andrea Ayala, Mischelle Ayala, Steven Calderon and wife Shay, Donna Calderon, Louis Calderon and wife Anna, Katrina Calderon and husband Stan; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Angelina Rios of Kerrville.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her honor to Peterson Hospice.\r\n\r\nRosary will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. \r\n\r\n
