Joseph Joe Eugene Jones, 87, of Ingram, passed away on August 5,2020 in Ingram. He was born in Rusk, TX to Charles and Ruth Jones on April 12,1933. He married Juanita Nita Ann Jones on February 24,1953 in Houston, TX. \r\n\r\nHe went to school at Rusk, TX. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. \r\n\r\nJoe was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Juanita Nita Ann Jones and sisters, Joyce Scott and Betty Ann McCrary. \r\n\r\nJoe is survived by sons, Howard Sonny Jones, Rickey Jones and wife Darla, John Jones and wife Amanda; brothers and sisters, Dan Jones, Carolyn Jones, Charles Jones, Maggie Jean Jones; grandchildren, Morris Crider, Chad and Brittany Crider, Rickey Jones Jr. and wife Emily, Kellisha Yeoman, Jacob Stringfellow and wife Nicole, Andrea Chavez, Maggie Sue Jones, Jesse Myers, Elijah Fuller; great-grandchildren, Zek Mejia, Michael Ray Jones, Cameron Crider, Logan Crider, Breanna Crider, Kali Crider, Zachary Crider and Paul Chavez. \r\n\r\nJoe was the best husband, father and grandfather. He was the most honest and hardworking man and always made sure his family was first. He would give to others before thinking of himself. He was not a man of many words so when he spoke you knew it was important. \r\n\r\nVisitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday August 14, 2020 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. \r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday August 15, 2020 at Nichols Cemetery with Jimmy Lavon Lammers officiating. \r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Ave Maria Hospice in Fredericksburg, TX or the VA Hospital near you. \r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Ave Maria Hospice.
