Gary Wayne Dickert, 71 of Leakey, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 22, 2020 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas to Zimri and Norma Jean Dickert on October 13, 1949. He was married to Mary Breton Dickert on April 2, 1971 in Houston.\r\n\r\nHe worked as a Construction Manager for Dixie Chemical in Pasadena, TX for just over 32 years before retiring. He was also a 32 Mason out of Archives Lodge in Pasadena.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Zimri and Norma Jean, and sisters Wanda Bamberg, Bobbie Byrd and Kathy Beasley.\r\n\r\nGary is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary Dickert; his children Jennifer Howell and husband Mike, Cara Dixon and husband Bryant, and Gary Wayne Dickert Jr.; grandchildren Austin and Alexia Howell, DJ, Carissa, and Carina Dixon, and Zimri, Kaden, and Lincoln Dickert, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be graveside at 3 PM on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Leakey Cemetery in Leakey, TX. A memorial will be announced at a later date that will take place in Pasadena, TX.\r\n\r\nGary was an incredibly loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He never met a stranger and loved preaching the Lords word to everyone he came across. He will be greatly missed, and forever loved. The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude for all of your prayers and kind words during this difficult time.\r\n
