Bertha Mae Nichols Taylor, 90, of Central Texas Nursing and Rehab, Ballinger, Texas, passed away to be with the Lord at 7:46 AM, July 21, 2021, with family present.\r\n\r\nShe was born January 17, 1931 at home in Kerrville, Texas to Everett Earl Nichols and Eula Bertha Hollomon. She married Neal C. Taylor on May 18, 1949. They were married 71 years, 7 months.\r\n\r\nShe traveled around the world for 30 years with her husband, Neal Taylor, due to his military career. She worked 3 years in the school cafeteria at Tanglewood Elementary in Clinton, Maryland. She was a housewife and mother to their only child, Nealene Brown. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She read the Bible faithfully daily and always blessed each meal. She was a Sunday School teacher and loved to crochet.\r\n\r\nSurviving is her daughter, Nealene Taylor Brown of Ballinger, Texas; two grandsons, Terry Neal Taylor of Ballinger, Texas and Kenneth Michael Taylor of Missouri; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rebekkah Burns of Marrieta, California and Beverly Flores of Center Point, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Neal C. Taylor; her parents, Everett Earl Nichols and Eula B. Nichols; her sisters, Viola Jones, Evelyn Wilshire, Ester Storkes, Ruth Schaffer and Emma Savage; one brother, Everett Earl Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nShe will be buried with her husband, Neal C. Taylor, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at 11:30 AM, on Thursday, August 5, 2021.
