Carl T. Russell, of San Antonio, passed away on August 7, 2021 in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Barren County, KY to Ruel and Zulah Russell on October 2, 1936. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty, and shortly after, joined the Air Force and moved to San Antonio. While serving, he and Betty had two daughters, Jackie and Lisa. After his stint, he moved into the private sector and his last work years were selling cars. He retired from Jennings Anderson Ford in Boerne.

He enjoyed spending time with his family on the local lakes and was an avid water skier. He also played a mean game of golf and played on many courses in the Texas Hill Country.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elaine Polson.

Survivors include wife, Betty, daughters, Jackie and husband Jeffrey Markgraf, and Lisa Russell, two grandchildren, Jared and Jessica Markgraf, and two great-grandchildren, Jordyn Joy and Graeme Markgraf, numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 13th, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. A second visitation will be held on August 21st at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, KY at 9:00am followed by the burial in Happy Valley Memorial Park at 11:00am.
