Jesse Villarreal, 86, of Kerrville, passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, surrounded by family.

Jesse was born November 19, 1934, in Yoakum, Texas to Marcos and Dolores M. Villarreal.

He worked for the City of Kerrville for 36 years and would proudly tell everyone he met. This is just one of the many attributes exemplifying his work ethic. He was a longstanding member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Olivia (Jaimes) Villarreal; his brother Lino Villarreal; sisters Josie Villarreal; Connie (Villarreal) Ybarra; Hope (Villarreal) Castillo.

Surviving family members include: sisters, Janie V. Lopez of San Antonio; Pauline V. Gonzales of San Antonio; Lucia Villarreal of Kerrville; Nell and husband Frank Flores; brother Marcus, and wife Kathy, Villarreal of Kerrville; Mike, and wife Diane, Villarreal of Kerrville; sister in law Angelina Rios of Kerrville; his son, Jason E. of Kerrville; daughter, Laurie V. Martinez and her husband John Martinez; grandchildren Jonathon and Jeremy Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, followed by the Rosary at 6 PM, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Mass will held at 10 AM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Rafal Duda as celebrant. Burial will follow in the San Jose Cemetery in Comfort.
