"Dear Leifeste Family- I just found out out about Shirley’s
passing and was saddened by the news. I knew her
primarily when I taught Christopher, Janelle and Sarah in
Kindergarten at Tom Daniels. And then later, during time
together serving on the AYSO board. She always had a smile
and news of the kids when I would run into her in later years.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. She will be greatly
missed."

"One of the finest teachers I ever had in high school. I didn't know that at the time - I thought she was just tough. When I went to college I realized that she had taught me a full semester's worth of college work while in high school. I realized then just how professional she had been.

My heart goes out to Herman and the rest of the family."
