Denise Lynne Hamilton, of Pipe Creek, gained her wings on Sunday September 26, 2021. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 20, 1962 to Leonard & Edna Willis.
Denise graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1980 and married her high school sweetheart Spud Hamilton on May 17, 1980.
Spud and Denise moved to Pipe Creek and started a family. Denise and Spud raised three girls: Amanda, Robin and Samantha. Denise loved to play make believe with her girls. She enjoyed having tea parties and fairy gardens with the girls. She also enjoyed making clothes and costumes. She was a very talented artist and cook; she was known for her amazing feasts.
When the girls enrolled in school Denise took a job with the school district. She was a 'Jenny of all Trades'; she worked as a substitute, nurse aide, office aide, redirect teacher, art and crossing guard. Parents and students looked forward each morning to see her smile as she welcomed students to school.
Denise became a grandma in 2004. It was by far her favorite 'job'. Her name became 'Mo Mo' and she was known as 'Mo Mo' to every student she met.
Denise loved the beach, karaoke, camping and her family. She looked forward each year to a trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival and made everyone's costumes for the event.
Denise is preceded in death by her daddy Leonard.
Denise is survived by her loving husband Spud, her girls Amanda (Bert), Robin (Nick), Samantha (Steven) and her grandsons: Jordan, Troy, Morgan, Brice, Ryker, Noah and Jonah and her mother Edna. Also an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and all of the students, parents and staff that she touched.
A visitation will be held for Denise on Saturday October 2, at 9am at Western Heritage Cowboy Church in Pipe Creek. Services will begin at 10am. Pastor Cliff Hargrove will be officiating. Reception to follow at the Pipe Creek Community Center.
The family would like to thank the team at University Hospital for all of their care and support. Dr. Lacoss, Dr. Sheridan, Dr. V, and her nurses Leo and Shane. Also thank you to her many coworkers at Hill Country Elementary, and the worship team at Western Heritage Cowboy Church.
The family invites you to send condolences by selecting the "Guestbook" link.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.

"I keep thinking I'm having a nightmare & can't wake up. This just seems so impossible to me. Denise was such a treasured friend. We messaged or texted almost daily. She was one of the very best in life. I will always treasure her friendship. She was supportive, funny, loving, caring & a very devoted friend, wife, mother, daughter, grandmother..... the list is never ending. My heart goes out to Spud & all the family & friends. This is going to have to be the point where God gives us all the strength to get through this. Rest In Peace my precious friend."
