Lynne LaVonne Genovese, age 59, of Kerrville, Texas and Colchester, Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 28, 2021.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Mike Scott and Diana Swett on August 23, 1962. Lynne married Kathleen Maher on October 5, 2013 in Colchester, Connecticut.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, David A. Hussey and Diana Abrams.

She is survived by her wife, Kathleen Maher; children, Melissa Stewart and husband John Denson, Stephanie Genovese, and Steven Genovese; brothers and sisters, Cate Cardenas, Cynthia Beaupre, Brian Swett and Sharon Casey; grandchildren, Trevon Bell, Owen Denson, Jadah Ortiz, Patrick and Logan Knobel, Savannah Genovese; and her dearest and oldest friend, Holly Fletcher Barton.

Lynne was best known for her ability to make everyone laugh and her capacity to love knew no bounds. She was infamous for her terrible singing and dancing. Lynne was unabashedly honest and wore her heart on her sleeve like a badge of honor. Lynne was a bright light in this world and now she is shining her beautiful light in Heaven. She will be sorely missed by her loyal canine and feline companions CheChe, Jasper, Lucille and Eli (B-Rabbit).

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Peterson Regional Medical Center, especially her ICU nurses, Eugenia and LeVaughn.

Services will be private. Donations may be made in Lynne‘s name to the Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville (www.humanesocietyofkerrville.org).
