Our brother, Bileko ‘Sasha’ Vlasek, left this world on October 7, 2023 at the age of 50. After leaving this world, Sasha went to be with God in Heaven. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Sasha was born April 14, 1973 to William ‘Bill’ Vlasek and DonnaLee Banta in Fredericksburg, TX.
Sasha was truly a middle child in both sets of his families. Sasha spent most of his childhood with his paternal grandparents, Louise and John Vlasek, on Bumble Bee Ranch. Later, he lived with his father and step mother, Barbara.
Sasha attended Hunt School followed by Ingram Tom Moore. He was an avid artist and angler. He enjoyed football and baseball in his school years. He was a very caring, giving and resourceful soul. His main passion was to travel Texas and research at public libraries. Sasha loved the Lord and would tell anyone who would listen about his personal relationship with Him. We will all miss his distinct laugh and wonderful smile.
Survivors include his siblings, Dennis Vlasek and wife Cy, Willy Vlasek, Mike Chambers of Pasadena CA, Shaleah Hill and husband Doug, Jill Reed, Lamar Lackey of Palmerston NZ, Yuri Lackey of Anchorage AK, and Gregory Vlasek and wife Marie of Zurich CH, including many family members and close friends.
Sasha was preceded in death by DonnaLee Banta, William and Barbara Vlasek, Louise and John Vlasek, Pamela Vlasek Toner, Samson Vlasek and Christopher Vlasek.
Graveside services will be at the Hunt Japonica Cemetery in Hunt, TX.
