"Lorene and I "met" through genealogical research (our common Holmes line). Over the years, I felt she became a good friend. We not only shared our genealogy finds and brick walls (she was an excellent researcher) but our family life as well. I learned about her home, her husband and his illness and her 5 little doxies. (I have two.) I had lost touch with her over the last few years as we had exhausted our research. I will always have found memories of our friendship."

"Classy.
That is how I describe my Aunt Lorene.
As beautiful on the inside as on the outside.
I can still hear her wonderful laugh and see her
beautiful smile.
A true pleasure to be around...her and Uncle
Tom as well.
As fair a lady as any Queen there ever was.
I lament her passing but I look forward to
reuniting with her again in our Forever Home
with our Father GOD and our Savior The LORD
JESUS.
Loving and Respectfully,
Scott "Scotty" & Kim Ward

"Lorene found me about 10 years ago, while researching the family tree of her stepfather, Ralph Nichols, who was my maternal grandfather's nephew. I think we met in person only 3 times in our lives, the last time being about 5 years ago. But we became good friends, texting each other often and referring to ourselves as cousins. More importantly, we were sisters in the Lord. She was very smart, generous, fiercely independent, funny and loving. We shared a bond that happens rarely in this life. She loved her "Toms" and sister Linda with every fiber of her being. And her fur babies were spoiled companions who brightened her life with their antics. I shall miss her very much and "thank God for every remembrance" of our journey together. May God bless and comfort her family and friends."
