Betty Love Darlington Deans-Koetting passed away peacefully the morning of January 10, 2024, at the age of 93. Betty (Memaw) was born on December 15, 1930, in San Antonio, TX to Benjamin and Ella (McNeil) Darlington. She was a graduate of Breckenridge High School in San Antonio, TX.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Jane Trout; her first husband, Leroy Deans; her second husband, James Koetting; and great-grandson, Zachary Williams.
She is survived by her five children: daughter, Regilean (Reggie) Kitka (husband Steve) and sons, Richard Deans (wife Darleen), Craig Deans (wife Terry), Bryan Deans (wife Patty) and Chuck Deans (wife Tammy). She is survived by 18 grandchildren along with numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. In addition, she is survived by 5 stepchildren and their families.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Burial will follow at 12 Noon at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.
