Daniel Clay Morris, lovingly referred to as Clay, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 14th 2024, in San Antonio, TX, surrounded by family and friends. Clay was born in Kerrville, TX, to Alvin Cecil (Pete) & Veda L. Morris on April 24th, 1955. He was married to Judith (Judy) Morris on December 31, 2019, in Center Point TX.

Clay is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Daniel Jayce Morris; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Faye Morris; his children, Daniel Chad Morris, Shane F. Morris, (Alison), Kenna E. Calder (Phillip), Matthew Morris (Mary), and Luke Mitchell; Grandchildren, Brooke (Dakota), Derek, Payton, Jade (Courtney) Daniel Ethan (Elizabeth), Landon M, Landon C, Cameron, Colton (Rachel), Ashlyn, Trey, and Ava; brother, Clinton Morris (Debbie); sisters, Nelda Morehead (Willis) and Laura Landry (Jim) and Great grandchildren, Carter, Ember, Delilah, and Kinsley.

To know Clay was to love him. He would light up any room with his outgoing and courageous personality. To be loved by Clay was to know that your world was going to be okay as he was a fierce protector of all his loved ones. Family was the most important thing to Clay. His heart was as big as Texas and reached all the way to Arkansas. Clay loved riding horses, picking the guitar, singing, listening to music around his pool, reminiscing about the old days and cutting a rug on the dance floor. He never met a stranger. He was well known and highly respected, especially in his hometown of Center Point, TX. Clay loved to visit Arkansas, where he spent time in his childhood. He deeply loved the beautiful Ozark mountains, the White River and Piney Creek.

As Clay would often say, “Let this big horse run and the little mare walk”.

The family wishes to extend our sincerest appreciation to Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Gentiva Hospice, and all the doctors and nurses that took such amazing care of him.

Celebration of life will be held on Sept 7, 2024, at 3:30 PM at 216 Tremper Trail E, Center Point TX 78010. Officiated by Pastor Joseph Fegenbush.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.

"There are times in life that we meet someone who is bigger than life and will always live in the hearts of those who knew them. Clay was one of those people. Once you met him you could never forget him, nor would he ever forget you! When he loved he loved big and he loved forever. If you needed someone to fight for you he was there! He raised some beautiful kids, all whom will always have a very special place in my heart. Love you all, Pam"
