Lavina Delgadillo, 87, of Kerrville, Texas, passed on July 20, 2025 in Kerrville, Texas after a long illness with dementia. She died peacefully at home.

She was born in Kerrville, Texas to Amalia Espinoza and Antonio Collazo on August 24, 1937. She married Felix Delgadillo on May 9, 1956, in Kerrville, Texas.

She went to school at Tivy High School and graduated in 1955. She was a quality inspector at James Avery Craftsman for many years.

Lavina was preceded in death by her mother, Amalia Espinoza; father, Antonio Collazo; sister, Eva Valdez; husband, Felix Delgadillo; sons, Danny and Gabriel Delgadillo; daughter, Laura Ann Balentine; and grandson, Daniel Robert Delgadillo.

Survivors include son, Gino (Cindy) Delgadillo, Kerrville; brothers, Raul (Mary) Rodriguez, Kerrville, Leo (Patricia) Espinoza, San Angelo, George (Esther) Espinoza; sister, Dr. Veronica Collazo, Tarpley; grandchildren, Jennifer Barton, Damian Delgadillo and Felicia Roberts; great-grandchildren, Diego and Haven Delgadillo, Carly and Bryson Barton, Hudson and Colton Roberts, and Mila and Lucas Delgadillo.

Mom was a fun-loving soul who enjoyed all family get-togethers and any social gatherings. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 5-7 pm with the rosary at 6 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Damian Delgadillo, Matt Barton, Casey Roberts, Diego Delgadillo, Bryson Barton, and Hudson Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucas Delgadillo and Colton Roberts.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Alamo Hospice, especially Clarissa, Juanita and Evelia for their loving care of Lavina during her illness. To her caretakers, Joann Alcorta and Ester Vela, thank you for the love, compassion and companionship you showed Lavina through her illness. A special thank you to Esper Monroy for being such a dear friend to Lavina and for all the visits.
