Theresia H. Pyle, 86, of Hunt, passed away on August 8, 2025, in San Antonio. Terri was born in Aubrey, TX to Ira Leon Looper and Nina Lou (Luster) Looper on July 16, 1939. She married Jack Conrad Pyle on June 20, 1958.

Terri graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, TX, where she played the bag pipes in the marching band. She frequently would threaten to pull them out and play them again. She raised four children, showing them how to follow God through her many services: teaching children Sunday School classes and VBS, ringing handbells, helping at the Omaha Baptist Center, and tirelessly leading mission trips to Mexico with Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; her parents; sister, Dolores Gibson; brother, Dale Looper; sons, Mark Pyle and Russell Pyle; and son-in-law, Thomas Brown.

She is survived by her children, Joanna Brown of Ingram, TX, and Kurt (& Marla) Pyle of Westmoreland, KS; grandchildren, Derek (& Teresa) Brown, Mitchell Brown, Alyssa (& Victor) Almendariz, Ryan (& Elizabeth) Pyle, and Bailey (& Jeremy) Fritz; and great-grandchildren, Michelle Brown, Kendall Brown, Mark Pyle, Fred Pyle, Arianna Barbo, Arissa Barbo, Kamilo Almendariz, and Andreia Fritz.

A Celebration of Terri’s life will be held Saturday, August 23 at 1:00 PM in the Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville sanctuary with a reception to follow.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Baptist Church Short-term Missions.

Her family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses of Peterson Hospital of Kerrville and the Baptist Medical Center of San Antonio for their compassionate care.
