Wesley (Wes) Wunschel, 87, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas. He was born and raised in Ida Grove, Iowa by his parents, Albert and Mae Wunschel. He married Nancy in August of 1959 in Ida Grove, Iowa.
Wes served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959 as a Construction Electrician in the Seabees. In retirement, his electrical skills were put to use volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Kerr County.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Samuel Goodrich; and son-in-law, David Goodrich.
Wes was loved by his wife, Nancy and his three children: Curt (Blayne) Wunschel; Susan Goodrich and Grant (Tanya) Wunschel; his five grandchildren: Bethany (Tyler) Frankenberger, Nickolas (Jordan) Wunschel, Ethan (Elizabeth) Wunschel, Charles Wunschel and Oliver Wunschel; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Frankenberger; and his sister, Arlis Renze.
A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity Kerr County.
