Angelo Falzarano, Jr., of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 after his gallant fight against Parkinson's and dementia.
Angelo was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He moved from Boston to San Diego as a preteen.
At the age of 16, he left school, lied about his age and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served in Korea for 3 years.
In 1960, Angelo started a 32-year career with the United States Air Force as an Air Force Reservist, Air Craft maintenance controller, Classified Courier and Load Master all round the world including the Vietnam War. Angelo took great honor in being a Korea and Vietnam Veteran and served his country with pride.
In 1962, he joined the Fort Worth Opera Association chorus. For the next 20 years he sang and danced in 4 operas a year.
After moving to Kerrville in 2002, Angelo became a Master Naturalist and did extensive volunteer work with Riverside Nature Center where, because his love of children he became known as the Pied Piper of RNC. Angelo served as a President of the Kerr Co. Woodcarvers, played softball with the senior league, and had many other hobbies. He was also selected as one of Kerrville's Life’s Treasures in 2017. Angelo lived his life to the fullest with joy and humor.
Angelo was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Donna Leigh Mathis Falzarano; his parents, Angelo, Sr. and Julia R. Falzarano; and sister, Dorothy J. Roberts.
Survivors include daughter, Angelina Dawn Falzarano; son, Angelo Guy Falzarano; sisters, Antoinette Cravey, Julia Strand and Carol Falzarano; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2025, from 1-2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Graveside service will be held at 9am Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors in San Antonio, Texas.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wounded Warriors.
