David Paul Randal, 63, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2026, in Kerrville. He was born December 5, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, to Patricia Ann Randal and Felton Edward Randal, and was raised by Patricia Ann Burton and BJ Burton, lovingly known to him as “Pops.”
David married the love of his life, Candice Randal, on May 1, 1992, in Boerne, Texas. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and dedication to others.
David graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended UTSA. He was a master mechanic, business owner, and respected automotive restoration specialist known for his passion for classic muscle cars. He founded Randal’s Automotive and Tire and dedicated his life to serving his community through his work and mentorship.
In addition to operating his business, David taught Automotive Repair at Boerne High School, where he enjoyed mentoring students and taking them to competitions. He took great pride in helping young people develop confidence, skill, and a love for the automotive trade.
David was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Burton; his mother, Patricia Ann Burton; and his father, Felton Edward Randal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candice Randal; daughters, Amanda Miranda-Flores and Patricia Randal; sons, Travis Gass, William Randal, and Nicklaus Randal; his parent, BJ Burton (“Pops”); brothers, Felton Randal Jr., Rodney Randal, Michael Randal, Kelly Randal, and Vincent Randal; and sister, Leslyn Burton. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, former students, and members of the automotive community.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas.
