Craig G. Spence a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 30, 2026 after a sudden diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung Cancer two months earlier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Edward and Billie Louise (Countryman) Spence. Born in Queens, New York City on March 9, 1961. The family moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1965 where he graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1979. He joined the Navy in 1979 and spent four years on the USS Pensacola (LSD-38) seeing the world.
Craig lived a life cherished by those around him. He is survived by his ex-wife Sabrina, and his loving children: daughter Kia Marie and sons Braydon and Adam Joseph Spence.
Craig was a proud grandfather to Arriyah, Tristen, Jhazzlyn, and M’niya Spence Annabelle, Jordan, Jaeda, Braylee, Amari, and Cayden J.G. Spence who brought him immense joy watching them grow up.
He is further survived by his two siblings: older brother Bret and younger brother Scott, two nephews, one niece, many cousins and friends who will miss his witty personality and endearing attitude dearly.
Craig was living and working in Washington state where he loved fishing and the outdoors. He moved to the Kerrville area to be closer to his children after his diagnosis. Craig’s ultimate pride and joy was being his children's biggest supporter in their endeavors.
Craig’s memory will be treasured by his family and friends.
