Larry Delaney, 82, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on August 2nd, 2026 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on June 25, 1944 in Lubbock Texas, to Charles and Jo Delaney. He married Kenda Delaney (Johnston) on January 4th, 1974 in Clovis, New Mexico.
He attended Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. He worked for more than 40 years for Santa Fe Railway and BNSF Railway as a civil engineer in various positions in their track and bridge construction and crossing safety divisions.
Larry was a life-long devoted Christian who placed his faith at the forefront of everything he did. He enjoyed teaching and serving in several congregations of the church of Christ over his lifetime. He left a legacy of faith for all who spent time with him.
Survivors include: Spouse, Kenda; Children, Leslie Hurst (husband Lyndal), Nancy McClung (husband Andy), Brandt Delaney (wife Yolanda), Joel Delaney (wife Heather); Grandchildren, Taylor Norris, Payton Seales, Jacob Walter, Mason Walter, Nolan Delaney and Jet Delaney; Great-grandchildren, River, Merritt & Stone Norris, and Boston Seales.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
