Michael Adrian Quimby, age 83, passed away on August 27, 2026 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on August 14,1943 to Frank & Mickey Quimby in Pampa, Texas. Mike graduated from Kermit High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from Sul Ross State University. He proudly served in the Texas National Guard. Mike dedicated much of his career to education, teaching and coaching in Kermit, El Dorado, Wall, and Midland Texas.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joyce Reinschmidt, brother-in-law Albert Reinschmidt, Jr., and nephew, Clay Alan Reinschmidt. He is survived by his nieces Kim Reinschmidt Butler & husband Greg (Missoula, MT) and Sally Griewahn & husband Kurt (Marion, TX), great-niece Kristin DeVleming & husband Dustin (Spokane, WA), great-nephews Tyler Griewahn & wife Samantha (Harriman, TN), Chase Griewahn (San Antonio, TX); great-great nieces and nephews: Audrey DeVleming (Spokane, WA) and Anthony and Albert Griewahn (Harriman,TN), Mabel Griewahn (Marion, TX). Mike is also survived by his beloved friends Arthur Davis, Steve Buck, Jerry Nixon, Clay and Monte Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Kerrville RV Park and Cabins, 3900 Bandera HWY. A potluck reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
